His foot kicked the edge of the useless tennis racket laying on the floor. Why wouldn't he wake up? Why!

Touya picked up the tennis racket slowly, breathing deeply. It had taken a few weeks to move into the small apartment that he now lived in. It was near to his new school, Hyoutei, and more importantly the hospital. He shrugged on a jacket, locked his door and lazily made his way to the Hyoutei. The Ex-Student Council President of Kyoto's local public school had no need to rush.

Touya had lived by himself for as long as he knew, paying for his own needs, getting a job, having good grades, and over all being a 'good guy'. He went to school byhimself, ate by himself, and was over all seen as a cold and menacing guy.

Natsumie sighed as she sat on the bleachers at the tennis courts. She didn't know why, but tennis bored her. She watched the team begin practice, and instantly felt like leaving. She didn't hate the sport, infact she was good at it, suprisingly good, she just never had the urge to play it. There was no emotion, no rush of anger when she played. Thats why she took up soccer, a more aggresive sport in which you could get hurt in any moment. She was the captain of the team in Hyotei, and proud of it. She enjoyed playing games, infact the team had taken two chapionship cups since she became a first year at Hyotei. Now as she sat there, watching her best friend and his team play, she felt like running off to the soccer courts and practicing her shots. The MVP of the year had to put some practice time in, right?

Touya opened the gate to the tennis courts slowly, trying not to distrub the group that was alreayd playing a game. A girl, looking bored, sat on the sidelines, a longing look in her eyes. She had long brown hair pulled back into a messy ponytail and nice, caring eyes. Touya silently walked over to her as polietly as possible.
"Um, do you know where -" here he looked down at a scrap of paper with writing srawled over it-"Natsumi Miyuzaki might be?"

The girl smiled at me brightly. Why? Why would she smile? It's so painful to look at someone like that...someone who is so like him... ouya tired his best to smile back, despite the pain it took.
"Well, I'm new around, and you're supposed to help show me around, "Touya explained, sitting down beside her. The wind ruffles his brown hiar and the sunshine glints on his silver earring. He offers his hand. "Atsuko Touya, Miyuzaki-senpai."
